for the Queen...

Earlier this year, I got my hands on some very old wood, doors & windows.

 Slowly I've been finding them a new role in my home.

Iv'e had this dream of having my own greenhouse,

and with a lot of help from my son Viktor 

...I now own this beautiful "mini greenhouse" 

Work in progress...

( Lucky me, I know!!)

I love baking and on Pinterest I found this wonderful recipe.
Yesterday I decided to try it out and it was simply delicious!

good, exciting and sad news...

Long time no see!! .... so, few updates from my life.

The good news!!

My daughter Fanny graduated from university with a BA degree in law

 and of course we celebrated!!!

Exciting news!!

 I'm going to have my first (big) art exhibition in April next year, 

already started to work on it, will tell you more later.

The sad news is that our beautiful Louis passed away and boy do we miss him ;(

p.s. I'm already working on a new picture-catalog, and this time with 

blue-transfer-pictures only :) 

this blue phase..

Everything I create these days, from transfer pictures for my bowls,

to decoupage plates or hand painted pillows are blue, ...blue, blue, blue!!

For me it feels almost like cheating, because grey is really my thing ;)

So few facts (found online) :

Blue has more complex and contradictory meanings than any other color! 

Dark blue: trust, dignity, intelligence, authority.

Bright blue: cleanliness, strength, dependability, coolness.

Light (sky) blue: peace, serenity, ethereal, spiritual, infinity.

 Blue is the #1 favorite color of all people. (I'm all people ;)

Blue symbolizes the Virgin Mary. (love her ;)

Blue can be used to open energy flow where it is blocked. (sounds good ;)

Using blue to relax will encourage feelings of communication and peace. (feels good ;)

Anyway, 

I'm going to enjoy this blue phase I'm in...

 

from wood to STUC...

I wanted to try out our product called STUC on these white wooden candlesticks I had.

I added more water to the STUC to make it easier to use, colored it with a grey pigment

and then I simply used a paintbrush, two layers and no primer this time ;)

STUC is normally used on floors or walls to give a "tadelakt look" and we use a spatula 

instead of a paintbrush, but I like this stuff so much that I am trying it out 

on all kinds of things and so far it's going well!

 (these have been brown, grey and silver before ;)

 ...adding some sparkle to it ;)

I like to put STUC on all my floors now!!?
